UC regents hold off on raising nonresident tuition after some protest



Regent Hadi Makarechian noted that the robust dollar had devalued many foreign currency echange, successfully doubling the cost of schooling for college kids from some nations, together with Mexico, Brazil and Egypt. Shutting them out would scale back opportunities for California students to make connections with individuals around the globe, some argued.
